Suddenly

Worlds' greatest minds taken!
For religion?
For prejudice?
For lies told by bullies?
Power hungry

control freaks!

most of us
throughout the world
can fly together, share the
same space, the same air,

lives.

What is wrong with you?

An entire
world of toleration and reason
are not wrong?

Tunneling like rats,
in the dark,
looking beyond guilty.
Going to sway minds,

I doubt it

obvious you are,
tornadoes of

sharks.

Logic is taught,
not
hate.

Planes downed,
full of
world wide citizens,

another

mass distraction to make war profits.
We are aware.
Knowing.
You also
are obvious.

There is
no winning
a PR war
we see.
All can see.

The
masks

of
deceit,

the
covered

blood.
Stolen bodies,
living women,
living girls,
broken hearts,
of

widows, widowers,
sons, and daughters.

Mothers' Fathers'.
Your prices
too
high.

More than
world sees you.

Designing
weak minds
in

their
time of
mass distress.
Watching
murderous hearts.
And Ebola.....

Strong minds exist on their own but weak minds need character shaping, especially when distressed! Nicely Still!

Sometimes it does seem that toleration and reason are nowhere to be found...there is sadness in the things we are aware of, and undoubtedly more in the things we are not aware of. A powerful poem.

yep, bullies without someone to stand up to them.

ha. you even worked in Sharknado....smiles...an interesting cascade in your words....i would disagree, i think hate is taught in many ways...much more than wisdom...and if we want unity, we have to start acting like it--but all too many are too selfish

The cynicism of the war industry is chilling - they know how to do it.

I like the title in particular..intriguing!

A bit of discussion; To Brian: I do agree with the premise that hate is a taught manifestation usually. I find us in agreement with 'Power hungry...control freaks' and 'Designing minds...etc.' It is like mind bending to me. The most literal sense of the word. Sad isn't it Sumana Roy 'our daily dose of media poison'.

Groovy form. Love- " Tunneling like rats,
in the dark,
looking beyond guilty."

This is dark and I agree with much of it. I don't have all the proof that I would like to prove that the power-hungry perpetuate war but it certainly seems that way to me.

I really like this:

"Tunneling like rats,
in the dark,
looking beyond guilty.
Going to sway minds,

I doubt it"

Today in Canada, a radicalized and misguided man acted out the nightmare you write of here........at great cost. Our nation is reeling. The insanity is on our doorstep.

Love your title. I wish I could still be cynically optimistic! Good write.
